Olkiluoto Nuclear Power Plant | Olkiluoto Island, Finland
In 2005, Bouygues Travaux Publics, assisted by Finnish partners, constructed the main buildings of the Olkiluoto nuclear power plant in Finland for Framatome ANP, a subsidiary of Areva and Siemens. The company built the reactor building, four safeguard buildings and one spent-fuel storage buildings and the spent fuel storage. The concrete outer shells specially designed to withstand the crash of a wide-body commercial jet will be an integral part of the overall safety concept of the EPR(European Pressurised Reactor). This power plant is the first of a new generation of EPR nuclear plants.
